On a perfect Sunday in the Queen St mall in the heart of Brisbane the 2019 INAS Global Games kicked off their cultural program with a soulful jazz performance by Karen Lee Roberts and Jeff Usher.
The games are held across the world for athletes with intellectual impairment to compete across 10 disciplines. To celebrate Brisbane hosting the games Arts Queensland and Queen Street Mall have collaborated to bring a range of artists to perform to the people and visitors of Brisbane.
Fresh off an emotional performance of Chameleon at Arts Ablaze, Karen and Jeff have opened the Arts & Culture Program singing some classic jazz tracks and a couple of Karen’s own originals. From the soulful Don’t Know why by Norah Jones to the classic Fly Me To The Moon, and finishing with the crowd favourite Fever, Karen and Jeff filled the mall with their soulful sounds.
