Cabaret & Acting

This hilarious, emotionally charged, one woman cabaret has a relatable moment for everyone!  A sweet yet very real insight into dating, fitness and the dreaded high school reunion will double as a great night out and free therapy for all. Come on a wild ride deep into the twisted rabbit-hole of the human psyche.

Chameleon brilliantly portrays a new point of view of the norms of mental illness through heartfelt stories of a woman’s journey to mental wellness. With original music from the world of the blues, Chameleon packs a healthy dose of funny for the mind, body and soul.

Chameleon is a high-energy, emotionally charged cabaret that challenges the perceptions that ‘mental illness’ is a dirty word.

It’s about mental wellness!

This show tells the story of Alexandra, played by Karen Lee Roberts (who has a lived experience), working through situations in her every day and finding clarity. Mr Sunshine, aka Dr. Jeff Usher (a vision impaired jazz blues legend), is her guiding light on piano.

Chameleon is not just for those challenged by mental health issues, it is for all people in the community. Each person out there has a friend, a family member, or a little part of themselves that can relate. It is entertaining, educating and great fun for a mature audience.

Karen Lee Roberts and Mr. Sunshine aka Dr Jeff Usher have taken Chameleon (in its incarnation as It’s Not Easy Being Green) to a successful season at the Adelaide Fringe, the Anywhere Theatre Festival in 2017 and 2018, an intimate season at Melbourne’s Butterfly Club in 2019, and sell out shows at the Queensland Cabaret Festival and Wynnum Fringe Festival in 2020.

Sex and Other Philosophies

Sex & Other Philosophies is a contemporary trash cabaret that light-heartedly deconstructs ideas around the concept of what relationships and mindset are all about. Appealing to the humorous and quirky side of the brain, the show poses existential questions about life, exploring the meaning of the sensual and sensory through poetry, playful dialogue, and original music.

This show will have you rolling in the aisles and instil in you a fun filled freedom for looking at the esoteric and witty approach to ecstasy.

Audiences will be enriched, enlivened and possibly quite ready to slip between the sheets. Satin of course.
